The school is committed to providing a secure framework for students to learn and develop.
Whom do you contact?
Pastoral care of students is organised through year groups. Each year group is divided into forms. The form tutor is the first point of contact and has responsibility for the day to day care of students.
Each pastoral phase has a Progress for Learning Leader who has oversight of the whole year and is responsible for monitoring and tracking pupil progress.
Each pastoral phase has a Climate for Learning Leader responsible for home school liaison, guidance and pupil support.
Each pastoral phase has a senior member of staff responsible for all aspects of pastoral care, guidance, welfare and curriculum monitoring:
If at any time parents are worried or concerned about their child's progress, well being or any aspect of his/her education they should not hesitate to contact an appropriate member of staff in school.
In order to help parents to support students' learning we organise regular 'Parents in Partnership' meetings to provide information about topics such as homework, coursework, study skills, drugs and bullying.
Tuxford’s Code of Conduct
Rules and expectations are made clear to students and sanctions are imposed fairly and consistently.
We expect students to treat each other with consideration and respect. This theme is constantly reinforced through assemblies and the personal and social education programme.
Through our approach to the care and guidance of our students we seek to develop happy, stable young people fully able to fulfil their potential and contribute to society.
The role of parents
We believe that parents should be fully involved with the
guidance and education of their children and we week their
involvement at every opportunity.
